Drop into Olympus for ranked Apex Legends matches in the second half of Season 9.
This season introduced an infestation to the floating metropolis. The infested update added new points of interest and overgrown roots as far as the eye can see. It features new points of interest alongside overgrown roots, but early game loot and easy rotations still dominate the meta. Whether you steadily bleed out or reach the ring often depends on where your team drops. Building a powerful loadout also helps eliminate any enemies on those shorter, safer routes. Here are the 4 best landing spots in Olympus.
Best places to land in Olympus
Elysium
The Elysium POI is on the southwest side of Olympus. It is a floating vessel connected by zip lines. Explore the central areas and edges for the best loot. You're guaranteed to find a gold or purple item in the middle.
Elysium’s small design promotes intense close-quarters combat. If your team survives, you’ll likely have plenty of gear to third-party any battles in Hydroponics. Head east to reach it.
Docks
Players landing in docks don’t have to worry about third-party rotations. This isolated POI is in the far north of Olympus. Once you’ve dealt with any other teams, the high-tier loot will be yours for the taking.
Docks is a circular area with several buildings. Each has enough loot to kit an entire squad. Rotate out to either Carrier or Power Grid after stocking up. Either path will set up your team for success. Both points of interest cross strong vantage points for kills and additional loot up.
The Icarus
Alien vegetation covers The Icarus, a massive ship, while high tier loot blankets the area. Your team needs a bit of luck to find a vault key. Once you have it, unlock the vault for this POI’s best loot.
This season 9 map update is positioned near many other popular dropping spots, but the infestation works well as cover. Get in and out quickly to take advantage of the high ground over Solar Array, then plan your rotation depending on how the match develops.
Energy Depot
Energy Depot is another POI filled with buildings. It can be a bit of a maze, but with enough practice, your team will control every twist and turn. This is also a risky drop. Expect almost immediate fights against aggressive players.
Learn the routes leading in and out of Energy Depot to excel in those encounters. Positioning is key to avoid ambushes from the surrounding steps and slopes. After you clear out any enemies, your team has multiple options to rotate from this central POI.
