What are Distortion Skills?
Distortion Skills are powerful moves. In general fighting game terminology, these would be supers. Every character has two unique distortions. Using one requires two levels of the curved yellow Skill Gauge, located next to the assist bar. The Skill Gauge fills every time you attack or block your opponent.
What are Distortion Skill Duos?
Extra Skill Gauge to spare? Distortion Skill Duos doubles down with a follow-up distortion from your second character. The additional damage comes at the cost of four Skill Gauge levels.
What is Clash Assault?
Clash Assault is a universal overhead or high attack. Landing one triggers an animation. Press the correct input when the crash button appears to receive a “marvelous” and deal additional damage.
What is Extra Assault?
Double down on Clash Assaults with this version 2.0 mechanic. Use 1 Skill Gauge after landing a Clash Assault to enter a powered-up state. Meter management is more important than ever thanks to these additional options.
What is Cross Combo?
When Cross Comboing, the Cross Gauge turns into a cooldown timer and your second character can perform as many assists as possible until the timer hits zero. You can even cross up opponents by switching characters mid-cross combo.
What is Rampage Time?
Low time battles just got even more intense with version 2.0's Rampage Time mechanic. Players' Skill Gauges automatically increase in the final 80 seconds of fights! Stay calm and keep to your plan to push forward until the very end. Anything can happen.
What are EX Skill Moves?
EX Skill are more powerful versions of special moves. They require one level of the Skill Gauge to use. Not all special moves have EX Skill versions and vary by character.
