Building a FIFA 21 Ultimate Team can be difficult, so let’s make selecting the best squad to play in Head-to-Head matches as easy as possible. FUT pro commentators Brandon Smith and Richard Buckley are back at it again with a FIFA 21 tip video to help you learn which team to play locally against friends or online in the FIFA 21 Open Series.
Here’s everything you need to know about the four best teams to win more on the pitch in Club mode.
FIFA 21 Best Club Team Tips
#1: France - The World Champions
France is easily the best team to play in FIFA 21. Richard highlights three key areas of their success:
- Attack
- Midfield
- Defense
Why is France the Best - Attackers
More specifically, attackers Mbappe (90), Ben Yedder (84), Griezmann (87), and Martial (84) are some of the strongest players in the game, ignoring FUT variations. This powerhouse quartet allows for a variety of shots and offensive maneuvers that can make up for some shortcomings on the part of the player.
Best CDM - Center Defensive Midfielders
Sissoko (79) and Kante (88) are in total control of the area according to Richard.
Back Four Defenders
Varane (86), Lenglet (85), Mendy (83), and Digne (84) are able to stay all over the offense thanks to superior stats and keep the ball in your possession for as long as possible, barring any errors or the opponent outplaying your team.
#2: Liverpool - Current English Champions
Liverpool is an excellent team to play mainly due to their strong pace. “Liverpool are an absolute unit in FIFA 21,” said Richard. Their high numbers are a testament to their skills.
- Offense: Salah (90), Mane (90), and Roberto Firmino (87)
- CDM: Henderson (86), Fabinho (87), and Wijinaldum (85)
- Back Defense: Van Dijk (90), Gomez (87), Alexander-Arnold (87), and Robertson (87)
#3: Bayern Munich - German Giants
This German team is at their best in the center of the pitch thanks to Center Defensive Midfielders Kimmich (88) and Goretzka (84). Another player Richard emphasized was Lewandowski (91) at the top on offense.
“Inside of the box, outside of the box, on his head, on a volley, he can score anywhere at any time,” said Richard. He might not have called the defense deadly but assures fans that Alaba (84), Boateng (82), Davies (81), and Hernandez (82) are potent. Captain Neuer (89) in the goal is a reliable last line of defense to keep the German giants in the game.
#4: Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain is a solid team to play, not only because Mbappe (90) is on the game’s cover art. Richard calls Neymar Jr. (91) and Mbappe “a fantastic duo next to each other. They compliment each other so well and with these two on the pitch, anything is possible.” Di Maria (87) on the side is notable for his ability to find the back of the net in the corner.
The central midfield consists of Gueye (84), Verratti (86), and Herrera (79) that control the base with strong fundamental play, or what Richard refers to as “keeping things very basic.”
Lastly, we have Marquinhos (85) and Kimpembe (81) holding things down near the goal on defense. Don’t expect them to tire out anytime soon with their stats. “PSG are a very usable option and almost a little of an outside pick to surprise opponents in the Open Series,” said Richard in his closing thoughts.
Other Teams to Play in Head-to-Head Squad Matches & Club Modes
While Brandon and Richard consider these four teams to be the strongest in the game, that doesn’t mean you can’t find success with other teams that better suit your playstyle. Experiment with different squads until you find the perfect fit to score big on the pitch.
