PlayStation Tournaments is the go-to destination for players that want to improve, find others to play, or gain recognition in the community. Every event is free to join and features a variety of prizes ranging from cash, exclusive themes, virtual currency, and more.

One of the best features is the ability to compete alongside friends in various team tournaments like Rainbow Six Siege. The process is fairly simple - create your team, customize (optional), invite friends, and get playing! This FAQ guide will walk you through how to perform each step.

How to make an Open Series team?

To make a team, click on the Events app on the PlayStation 4 menu and pick the “Teams” icon. It’s located at the bottom of the list. Then, select the “Create Team” option.

How to customize and invite others to your team?

From that page you’ll be able to customize your new team and invite anyone you want to join.

How to join a team?

You can either get an invitation from a team owner or captain, then accept to join the team.

How to register for tournaments as a team?

Only the owner of a team can register their squad for a tournament. The owner also decides the roster for the tournament.

How many people must be on my team to compete?

A team must have the minimum number of players to participate in a tournament. For example, Apex Legends requires teams of three, while Rainbow Six Siege calls for teams of five to participate in team tournaments.

Can players outside of my team compete with us?

There’s currently no option for free agents. If you want to play with other friends or rivals, you will need to recruit them to your team. Otherwise, you cannot play together in team tournaments.
