Struggling to score goals in FIFA 23? Try using clubs with the highest Attack ratings, which indicate how explosive the team’s offense is.
Attack ratings are reflective of the players in forward, winger, and, occasionally, midfield positions. The top teams often feature superstars and legends of the sport.
While there are hundreds of clubs to choose from, this list will break down the seven best offensive clubs to play in FIFA 23.
FC Bayern Munchen
Default Formation: 4-2-3-1 Wide
Attack Rating: 89
Overall Rating: 84
The German juggernauts hold the highest-rated Attack in FIFA 23. They are led by a single striker, Sadio Mane (89 OVR), in his first season with the team. The former Liverpool star combines blistering sprint speed and prolific finishing ability with both his feet and head.
Though they only use one forward, Bayern has plenty of goal-scorers in their midfield. The versatile Thomas Muller (87 OVR) assumes a hybrid striker/midfielder role, while Leon Goretzka (87 OVR), Kingsley Coman (86 OVR), and Serge Gnabry (85 OVR) are box-to-box players who also score goals.
Furthermore, Bayern’s lineup is bolstered with elite goal-scorers like Leroy Sane (84 OVR) available off the bench.
Paris Saint-Germain
Default Formation: 5-2-3
Attack Rating: 88
Overall Rating: 85
The esteemed French club features the game’s most fearsome three-headed monster. Legendary players Lionel Messi (91 OVR) and Neymar Jr. (89 OVR) play on the outside as wingers. Meanwhile, FIFA 23 cover man Kylian Mbappe (91 OVR) threatens in the middle as the striker.
Each of them showcases world-class ability as dribblers, passers, and finishers. Mix in midfielder Marco Veratti (87 OVR), who offers additional support with his superb passing and ball control. Even top defenses must play their absolute best to slow this squad down.
With two of the game’s five highest-rated players in their Attack, few teams have the goal-scoring firepower to match PSG.
Manchester City
Default Formation: 4-3-3 Holding
Attack Rating: 86
Overall Rating: 85
The back-to-back Premier League champions are loaded with the game’s most stacked offense. At 6’5” 207 lbs, striker Erling Haaland (88 OVR) is an intimidating force in the middle. The squad’s newest star is the complete package with speed, strength, and a relentless pursuit of the goal.
City employs a platoon of word-class wingers in Bernardo Silva (88 OVR), Riyad Mahrez (86 OVR), Phil Foden (85 OVR), and Jack Grealish (84). With no bad options, you can start your preferred pair and use the other two as spark plugs off the bench.
The entire offense is initiated by one of the game’s highest-rated players, Kevin de Bruyne (91 OVR). Though he scores goals with the best of them, the Belgian midfielder truly shines with his unrivaled passing.
Real Madrid
Default Formation: 4-3-3 False 9
Attack Rating: 85
Overall Rating: 85
If you want to play a more unique attacking formation, look to Real Madrid. They use veteran goal-scorer Karim Benzema (91 OVR) as a False 9, or a striker who plays more toward the midfield.
Midfielders Toni Kroos (88 OVR) and Luka Modric (88 OVR) are Benzema’s main supporters in the middle. These box-to-box stalwarts do it all with elite passing, solid defending, and chip in with occasional goals.
Wingers Vinicius Jr. (86 OVR) and Eden Hazard aren’t amazing finishers, but are creative playmakers in open space. Real Madrid even has a secret weapon in David Alaba (86), a defender who is a fine dribbler, makes great passes, and is a competent finisher.
Manchester United
Default Formation: 4-2-3-1 Wide
Attack Rating: 85
Overall Rating: 82
Man U is a bit of a one-man band in their attack, but that man is sure hard to beat. The
world-renowned Cristiano Ronaldo (90 OVR) leads the way as striker for this prestigious club.
Even at 37 years old, this iconic player is still one of the game’s most dangerous goal-scorers. His size, skill, and athleticism allow him to match up well with any defender he faces. He can score from nearly any distance from the goal and makes acrobatic volleys look routine. Midfielder Bruno Fernandes (86 OVR) and winger Jadon Sancho (84 OVR) support the mix as well.
Inter
Default Formation: 3-1-4-2
Attack Rating: 85
Overall Rating: 83
Few teams use two strikers nowadays, but Italy’s top club is one of them. It makes perfect sense with both Romelu Lukaku (86 OVR) and Lautaro Martinez (86 OVR) on their roster.
These strikers are unique in that they have less finesse in their game and use their strength and physicality to create space. Inter keeps a third world-class striker, Edin Dzeko (84 OVR), on their bench for additional firepower.
When playing the 3-1-4-2 formation, midfielders play an exceptionally key role. Inter’s trio of Marcelo Brozovic (86 OVR), Nicolo Barella (86 OVR), and Hakan Calhanoglu (84 OVR) are box-to-box workhorses who add passing, goal-scoring, and toughness to the attack.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Default Formation: 4-2-3-1 Wide
Attack Rating: 85
Overall Rating: 80
If you’re a fan of dark horses, then try out the surprisingly potent offense of Bayer Leverkusen. Although they barely crack FIFA 23’s Top 20 highest-rated clubs Overall, their Attack rating is tied for fourth-best.
This is mostly due to the goal-scoring prowess of the lone striker, Patrik Schick (85 OVR). Attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz (82 OVR) and winger Moussa Diaby (84 OVR) are his best sidekicks, but are far from elite finishers. Much like Manchester United, they are something of a one-man band.
It’s easy to write Leverkusen off as a poor man’s version of United. However, look at them as a team to make a statement by upsetting everyone using top-tiered clubs.
