SonicFox Gets the Last Laugh and Wins Final Kombat 2020

Published on: 03/09/2020
By: Tim Palmieri

The seemingly unstoppable Dominique "SonicFox" McLean beat Jarrad "NinjaKilla" Gooden in the Final Kombat 2020 Grand Finals from Losers Side to win $40,000, a replica of Shao Kahn’s Hammer, and the honor of calling themself the best Mortal Kombat 11 player in the world.

The famous furry turned most of the competition into a joke with Joker, a character many view as mediocre, losing only to NinjaKilla in Winners Finals. SonicFox is still respectable to the community and competition despite their evergrowing list of accomplishments. They're looking forward to a long rivalry with NinjaKilla, whose rapid rise through the rankings was anything but stealthy.

SonicFox's worst placement this season was second. Facing SonicFox is no laughing matter.

NinjaKilla was a relatively unknown wifi warrior prior to the 2019 Pro Kompetition. However, he is now one of the most lethal players in the scene, winning Kumite in Tennessee 2020, the 2020 Northeast Championship, DreamHack Atlanta 2019, and DreamHack Montreal 2019. He already has a history with SonicFox, placing 3rd at East Coast Throwdown 2019, 4th at Community Effort Orlando 2019, and 4th in the Mortal Kombat Pro Kompetition Online Cup 2019 - NA East. All results of matches against the Final Kombat 2020 Champion.

Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack Spawn Gameplay Reveal

Spawn is the next Kombat Pack DLC character to enter Outworld on March 17. The Hellspawn hero brings chains and flames into battle, but he's far from Scorpion's style. This gunslinger can glide, turn invisible, and use demonic powers like necroplasmic energy.

The gameplay reveal features Trivium's songs "IX" and "Scattering The Ashes."

Mortal Kombat 11 Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) Cancellation

The Mortal Kombat 11 LCQ was unfortunately canceled due to the Coronavirus. Fans were told to not come to the Final Kombat 2020 venue and received refunds.
