Road to Esports World Cup 2025 on PlayStation Tournaments

The Esports World Cup returns for 2025, gathering the best professional and enthusiast gamers worldwide for a high-stakes, multi-genre showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this summer.

To help you get there, we're bringing back the Road to Esports World Cup on PlayStation Tournaments. Sign up and compete in daily FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, TEKKEN 8, and EA FC 25 tournaments to score a trip to watch the Finals!

Schedule

Kick-off dates for this year’s Road to Esports World Cup Open Qualifiers will vary according to eligible title, beginning in May and running through June. Players that win any bracket in the Open Qualifiers will be invited to participate in a Closed Regional Final to secure a trip to watch the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh.

Prizes

The Road to Esports World Cup 2025 on PlayStation Tournaments features one of the most generous prize pools in competitive gaming, offering incentives to players who rank in the Top 8 spots.

Ranking for the EA FC 25 tournament will consist of a single-elimination bracket, while both TEKKEN 8 and FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves tournaments will follow a double-elimination format.

Each first-place winner of the Closed Regional Finals, as well as their plus-ones, will receive travel and accommodation to watch the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh.*

How to play on PS5

To sign up on PS5, navigate to the Game Hub on your PS5 home screen and scroll down to the “Upcoming Tournaments” carousel. Select a tournament that fits your schedule, and select Register. A notification will appear when it is time to join your match. Results are automatically recorded, and winning matches will secure your place in the next round until you reach the final! Tournament details, including available prizes, will be listed on the tournament card!
