Learn which weapons are worth looting to get more kills in Apex Legends.
There are almost 30 weapons in the team-based, battle royale shooter as of Season 10. Emergence added a new LMG, swapped Care Package weapons, and removed some of the most popular loot. Other updates like gun nerfs can disappoint players that want to drop back into the action with their favorite gun. Beginners don’t have to worry about balance changes or patches since their experience is fresh. They should first focus on finding the right Legend.
This guide lists the best weapons in Apex Legends Season 10 based on damage output, magazine size, and attachments. Find these in Care Packages, Supply Bins, or scattered across the floor of the map for an advantage in any firefight.
Spitfire
Spitfire users were frowned upon in Season 9 because of its insane damage and mag size. Some called it cheap, but those who looted this LMG called it a winner. In Season 10, the Spitfire is no longer available as floor or Supply Bin loot. Players must instead get lucky with Care Packages.
Developer Respawn balanced the rarity with buffs. Both the Spitfire’s damage and mag size were increased. You can now wipe out an entire squad without reloading.
Rampage
Season 10 of Apex Legends introduced a new gun — the Rampage. This LMG features high damage output and accuracy in exchange for a slower fire rate. It’s also more readily available than other powerful weapons like the Spitfire. We’ll soon find out if that accessibility puts the Rampage at the top of the meta as this season continues to develop.
Look for Thermite Grenades to upgrade the Rampage. You’ll overclock the fire rate and deal more damage. That special capability also gives it one of the highest DPS (damage per second) in all of Apex Legends.
R-301 Carbine
The R-301 Carbine is always mentioned first when players discuss the best assault rifle in Apex Legends. It has been a staple of the meta since the beginning. Ten seasons later and the R-301 still dominates.
It is extremely easy to use with pinpoint accuracy. This AR is very common. You’ll also have no trouble tracking down its Light Ammo. The large amount of bullets you’ll land means low damage per second isn’t an issue. Top it off with the highest RPM (rounds per minute) in the assault rifle category and you’ve got yourself a reliable weapon.
Bocek Bow
There is one word to describe the Bocek Bow — disgusting. It is more dangerous than other Marksman rifles because you never have to reload. The bow also has insane range. You can literally rain arrows onto opponents with virtually no drop from a distance. Grab the Deadeye’s Tempo Hop-Up for an ever faster rate of fire.
EVA-8
The EVA-8 received a small nerf in Season 10. This shotgun’s bolt fire-rate was significantly reduced for each rarity, while its base firing rate went untouched. That change wasn’t enough to push players toward other shotguns. The Peacekeeper, probably the second best in its class, can one-shot kill, but if you miss you’re doomed. The EVA-8 is far less of a risk thanks to automatic firing that lets you adjust after each shot.
Charge Rifle
The Kraber sniper rifle was the best long-range gun for nine seasons. Season 10 tucked the sniper rifle away in the Care Package rotation. That rarity means a new long-range weapon is finally on top. Get ready to loot for a Charge Rifle.
The Charge Rifle requires few attachments to perform at its peak. Place an Optic on the weapon and fire away. The hitscan beam means you can zap players from any distance, then deal massive damage with the final blast.
Now that you know the best weapons for Apex Legends Season 10, drop in and hope you can find these beasts to lead you to victory.
