In a new dawn of fighters, a legend will rise! Revel in developer French Bread’s Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] (UNICLR), a gorgeously animated 2D fighter soaked in rich mechanics rewarding smart aggression and calculated players. The signature tug of war system encourages new approaches and strategies to counter the opponent’s tactics on the fly! These duels determine superiority, but only for a moment!

Learn how to play UNICLR to make every match a long night for your adversary. Let us begin this "Hollow Night."

Stellar settings, compelling characters, and meaty mechanics make every fighting game unique, but many aspects remain universal. Mentality, methodology, and more are critical concepts commonly discussed in the fighting game community.

Whether this is your first foray into the genre or you carry a fight stick dating back to your Street Fighter glory days, fundamentals are the key to unlocking your true potential and the satisfaction of seeing yourself on the victory screen!

UNICLR Beginner’s Guide: Dive into a Deeper, Darker Fighter

Figuring out fighting games can be a tough climb before you even reach a competitive ladder. Fortunately, UNICLR has one of the best tutorials. Skipping it is an express elevator down to the bottom of any brawl. Why stumble through controls when the game seamlessly spoons systems bit by bit?

UNICLR Tutorial: Getting Serious with GRD & Vorpal Mechanics

Congratulations on learning on the basics! The following intermediate mechanics define Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] and make gameplay far more strategic than simply attacking, blocking, and dodging.

Fighting game terminology can be daunting and even bizarre. Some acronyms might be right at home in the community, while elsewhere your lingo can leave others scratching their head. Do your best to see beyond the jargon. Focus first on figuring out the mechanics, then the words and deeper discussions surrounding them will start to sound more natural.

Character Overview: Who Should I Play

The 21 character roster ranges from traditional close range brawlers to long-range zoners. Start with a simple one before taking a stab at a trickier character. Experiment with the cast and ease into the fundamentals without leaving behind the fun!

UNICLR is filled with expressive characters capable of conquering the competitive circuit!

Selecting a main, or a character you'll use the most, might be more difficult than other fighting games due to recognizability. Most fighting game series feature familiar casts spanning at least one decade of rich roster history. However, UNICLR's cast might be a bit less recognizable. That just means you'll make new friends to fight your battles for you.

Under Night Overview: How is UNICLR Different Than UNIST?

UNICLR is an update to UNIST, making them the same game except with more content. Think of it as a giant patch. UNIST owners receive a free upgrade to UNICLR including nearly 1000 character balance adjustments to moves, frame data, and more.

Londrekia joins the battle! Free in the standalone UNICLR purchase, but paid DLC for current UNIST owners, his icy attacks will set you back $9. The newer version of Under Night also comes with additional music, a new stage, and color packs to customize your favorite fighter. Colors and character announcer calls can also be purchased in the PlayStation Store.

Experience everything the clear night has to offer!
