The Call of Duty League reclasses competitive Call of Duty with new ways to watch, play, and interact with the community! There are three levels to the league: Pros, amateurs, and fans.

Bootcamp Basics: How Does the Call of Duty League Work?

The Prestige: Call of Duty League Pro Competition

The world’s best Call of Duty players will represent twelve city-based franchises hailing from Canada, France, England, and the United States.

Launch weekend starts January 24 in Minnesota. Air support a team in person or online.

Call of Duty League Schedule

All twelve teams compete at the Minneapolis Armory on opening weekend. Eight teams will then travel to subsequent tournaments on a rotating basis to give players more action at every destination. Franchises and formats may have changed, however at the end of the day the sharpest shooters and most coordinated cadets will rise through the ranks.

Call of Duty League Pro Tournaments, Home Series Structure, and CDL Points System

Every match matters thanks to the new CDL Points System. Winning one match nets teams 10 CDL Points. These points determine the standings, instead of wins and losses.

Home Series Weekend events start in February when Call of Duty comes to London. Classic Call of Duty combat will unfold between eight teams in a traditional tournament bracket. Teams are split into two groups and must win two matches to advance to the single-elimination bracket.

Four teams progress to the knockout round. One will become the Home Series Weekend event winner.

Every win is another 10 CDL Points in the books. The overall Home Series Weekend event winner earns an additional 10 points.

CDL point allocations per placement:

  • First Place: 50 CDL Points
  • Second Place: 30 CDL Points
  • Third / Fourth Place: 20 CDL Points
  • Fifth / Sixth Place: 10 CDL Points
  • Seventh / Eighth Place: 0 CDL Points

Tiebreakers will be broken based on:

  • Teams’ Head-to-Head Match Win Percentage
  • Teams’ Head-to-Head Game Win Percentage
  • Teams’ Overall Game Win Percentage

Gain the most points to secure a spot in the playoffs. Eight teams qualify, plus four wild cards. The four wild card teams must break through a single-elimination bracket to reach the other teams.

The top two teams receive first-round byes to reward their results. Meanwhile, the third and fourth seeds must battle the two triumphant wild cards. The final bracket is a double-elimination bout for the title of 2020 Call of Duty League World Champion.

Survey all of the action on the Competition Center to see which team AC-130’s the competition into dust!

Dust off that Helmet: Call of Duty Challengers

CDLChallengers

Call of Duty Challengers turns private joes into command sergeant pros. Amateur players can enter online ladders, tournaments, and live LAN tournaments at Home Series events throughout the CDL season.

Win prizes and a spot at the Call of Duty Challengers Finals during the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend. Who needs to call in kill streaks when your team is unstoppable?

Fandomination: Call of Duty League City Circuit

Rep your city in 2v2 competitions for a flight to the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend in the fan-focused Call of Duty League City Circuit. Compete for clout and prizes to become a hometown hero. Emblem optional.

Call of Duty League Hype Battles

CDLHypeBattlesKarlNBA

Call of Duty is fueled with celebratory moments. Annual releases, compelling storylines, and engaging gunfights foster and fuel hype. Call of Duty League Hype Battles introduces a new kind of hype.

Celebrities and surprise guests will square off at select events in modes like Gunfight. Witness woots and woes from familiar faces.

Two-time NBA All-Star and 2016 Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns lands his shots on the court, but will they land on the battlefield? Towns will compete in front of his hometown fans at the Minneapolis Armory on Launch Weekend and set the stage for future Hype Battles.

More details, including additional participants, will roll onto the radar soon!

Competitive Call of Duty (CDL) Settings and Ruleset
